In these strange times many of us around the world are under Lockdown & having to remain at home other than requiring to go out on essential travel only, for groceries/medications and even then we have to abide by social distancing (keep 2m away from the next person).
For others like myself, we have been told we are under 'shielding' advice due to health issues remaining at home from 12 weeks. It has been a trial at times to not automatically answer the door when a delivery arrives. I have not been bad, I only answered the door once & emptied the contents of a parcel instead of leaving this for my husband to do for me. (My bad) Nevermind I only slipped up once. At least it is not so long till the 9th June when I may be able to get out again unless this date is extended. I have been good in that I have not ventured out of my garden. At least I am getting some fresh air.
Returning to working as a Foot Healthcare Practitioner & Reflexologist is going to be difficult unless sufficient PPE is supplied. I do have a washable mask that was kindly made for me by a friend in the local MS Borders branch, & normally wear a fresh pair of latex gloves for every footcare client anyway, but do not have plastic aprons or visors which I think are going to be necessary. It feels odd to be in strange times like these. However it is for everyone.
I find it interesting to hear how other countries have been dealing with handling this pandemic. I hope that a vaccine becomes available soon so that we can return to normality (assuming we will). I fully intend to return to my self-employments (Foot Healthcare, Reflexology & Indian Head Massage). I miss not helping my clients.
Changes are afoot
In the meantime, I think I will need to diversify. I have been toying with the idea for some time. In my time of constantly learning new skills I have decided to offer coaching online (social distancing of course). My new business is going to be called 'Flourishing Beyond Wellbeing'.
